My first exhibit at BCA Studios (Burlington, VT) in 2018. Since then, my pieces have evolved, and I am always exploring and creating new ideas with clay!

A little bit about me

My love for clay…

Working with clay has become a passion of mine since I first touched it. I bring together the four elements: earth, water, air, and fire to create unique, one-of-a-kind pieces in my Colchester, Vermont studio..

For over a decade, I volunteered at the Burlington City Arts Clay Studio in Vermont. I oversaw the process, from wheel to kiln, and enjoyed the creative exchange that goes along with being a member of a vibrant local artists’ space. Now, I am thrilled to be an instructor at BCA and teach Intro to Handbuilding classes and workshops

I enjoy everything from throwing pots on a wheel to handbuilding. Working with slabs to form pieces or shaping pinch pots into flowers and small animals. Many of my pieces are hand-painted using underglazes, which takes many hours but has become a meditative practice for me and is worth every brush stroke.

I've lived in Vermont since 1993 with my husband and two wonderful kids, who are now adulting and love coming back to the peace of Vermont. We have two entertaining cats - Mae and Bowie, who are often featured on my Instagram page - Pure joy!
